Sonya is an individual and group leadership coach and is the founder of Affinity Coaching, LLC. She believes that the protective mechanisms that have served us so well in the past are often the very things that hold us back as we try to grow into a new role. Great leaders are willing to explore, confront, and expose their vulnerability to move forward unencumbered by reactivity and crisis management. Her approach takes into account the complexities and nuances of the client’s environment to support them in implementing a mission-driven, visionary form of leadership that aligns with their distinct values. Sonya’s coaching is deeply informed by her over twenty years as an attorney and business owner. She left the practice of law to help organizations build wider benches of collaborative, effective leaders who could scale their organizations’ impact while truly thriving. Sonya is an ACC-certified member of the International Coaching Federation and holds a certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. She received her B.A. in Political Science cum laude from Stanford University and her J.D. from New York University School of Law. Sonya is certified to administer the Hogan Personality Inventories and the Leadership Circle Profile 360 Assessment. She is also an Immunity to Change and Internal Family Systems practitioner.
