Account & Verification

To register with Leadership Coach Directory:

  1. Select Your Membership Plan. Visit our membership pricing page and select the payment plan that works best for you. 
  2. Create Your Account. Enter your full name and email address, choose a username and password, and accept our terms and conditions. Then click the “Create Account” button.
  3. Build Your Profile. Fill out your profile form with as much detail as you can.  Highlight your coaching expertise, communication style, certifications, contact information, and so much more to attract the right clients. Save your work anytime.
  4. Account Verification. After you’ve submitted your profile, our team will cross-check your information with your certifications. Every coach on Leadership Coach Directory must have either an active ICF certification or an active EMCC certification.
  5. Done! Once you’re verified your profile will go live on the site. This can take 1-2 business days from the time you submit your profile.

Yes. Leadership Coach Directory is dedicated to listing coaches who work within a leadership context. This includes coaches specializing in executive coaching, team and group coaching, career coaching, health and wellness coaching as it relates to leadership performance, internal or corporate coaches, and life vision and enhancement coaching for leaders.

All coaches must hold an active ICF or EMCC credential and demonstrate a focus on leadership development in their practice.

Our team manually verifies every coach’s active ICF or EMCC credential directly with their respective organization. We use the full name and email you provide on account creation to find your credentials and will reach out to you if we’re unable to verify your account.

This ensures that all coaches listed on Leadership Coach Directory maintain current accreditation and uphold the highest professional standards in the coaching industry.

Memberships

Yes. An active membership is required to create and maintain a listing on Leadership Coach Directory. Your membership gives you full access to build a detailed profile, appear in client search results, and benefit from our marketing, SEO optimization, and visibility initiatives. When your membership expires, your profile listing is removed from the site.

No. Leadership Coach Directory never charges a commission on any client leads you receive through the platform. Your membership fee covers your listing and full access to incoming client opportunities. We believe in supporting your coaching practice without taking a percentage of your hard-earned revenue.

Leadership Coach Directory offers a single, premium membership with two different payments plans. Both payment plans provide the same great benefits. Here’s how the two options differ:

  • Annual Payment Plan: Pay for the full year upfront at a steep discount compared to monthly payments. Annual payment plan members are also prioritized when we reach our membership cap, ensuring your continued access to the platform.
  • Monthly Payment Plan: Pay your membership in monthly installments for added financial flexibility. The Coach Spotlight benefit is available to monthly members upon request after they’ve been subscribed for 12+ months.

To switch or cancel your membership, log into your account then navigate to the “My Account” button. From here you will have access to your subscriptions tab.

Canceled memberships will not renew at the next renewal period. Your account and profile will remain accessible through your login info unless you fully delete your account. Your profile will remain live for as long as your membership is paid through. It will be delisted from the site after your membership ends.

If your ICF or EMCC certification expires during your membership, we follow a standard 60-day grace period to allow time for renewal. Your profile will remain active during this period.

However, if your certification is not renewed within the 60-day grace period, we will remove your profile listing from the live site without any refund of membership dues. You will still be able to log into your account, but your listing will no longer appear within our directory, will not be searchable by clients, and any direct links to your listing page will return a 404 error.

If you’ve renewed your credential, email us using the Contact Us page. We will re-verify your status, then reinstate your profile listing.

We limit our memberships to no more than 10% of all active ICF/EMCC certified coaches worldwide to maintain the highest standards of quality, exclusivity, and client trust. This ensures that:

  1. Clients aren’t overwhelmed. With fewer profiles to sort through, clients can find the right coach more easily and confidently.
  2. You stand out. As part of an exclusive top-tier group, your profile receives greater visibility and credibility.
  3. Our platform remains premium. By keeping membership limited, we uphold our promise to connect clients only with the top segment of active, certified coaches.

If a current member chooses not to renew their membership or allows their certification to expire, a spot becomes available. We then accept new coaches from our waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.

When the 10% cap is reached, our membership page will remove the registration option and instead link to a waiting form. Enter your details there and we will email you when memberships open again.

Our waiting list operates on a first come, first served basis. As soon as a spot becomes available, we will contact the next coach in line to complete their membership purchase and profile setup.

Listing Profile

Here are some recommendations to make your profile stand out:

  1. Complete all form fields. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for clients to find the type of coach they’re looking for.
  2. Upload at least 2 pictures. We recommend 2-5 pictures for each coach. The first picture listed will be what appears on your search page. Once a client clicks on your profile, they can see your other pictures. We recommend one headshot and at least one picture of you in practice/in action (presenting, gesturing, walking, talking, etc.)
  3. Write 1-4 paragraphs in your description. Talk about your coaching business, what you specialize in, how you help clients and what sets you apart from other coaches. Keep a conversational tone and consider a personal insight or short story as a hook. Include examples of what your clients have achieved. List your certifications and credentials and if applicable, link to other media/articles/books about yourself.
  4. Include your services. Use the “services” text box to list your hourly rate, packages, classes, and if you offer a free chemistry/discovery session. 

By entering your city in the address box, your details will be added to the Country, Region, and City boxes automatically. However, whatever information you entered into the Address box stays there until you remove it. So your city will appear twice on your profile, once from the Address box, and once from the City box.

To fix this, simply delete all contents from the Address box while keeping your accurate location information in the other boxes.

Yes. You can update your profile at any time by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to My Account and click your listing to take you to your listing page.
    1. If you don’t see your listing here, it’s likely under review and will show up once your account has been verified. Reach out to support if it’s still not showing after 2-3 business days.
  3. Click edit, make the changes you want, then click Submit Listing to save your changes.

If you don’t see your language available in the drop-down list please contact us and so we can add it.

Search & Clients

Clients find you through:

  1. Search and Filters. Executives, HR leaders, and professionals can browse the directory using filters such as coaching specialty or communication style. The more information you fill out, the easier it is for a client to find a coach that perfectly matches what they’re looking for.
  2. Strategic SEO and Back-Linking. Your profile benefits from increased SEO authority and visibility through strategic back-linking to your personal website, LinkedIn, and social media platforms. Our investment in organic search optimization ensures that clients actively seeking world-class leadership coaches can find us, and you, more easily.
  3. Targeted Advertising Campaigns. We run paid search and advertising campaigns aimed specifically at executives, HR leaders, and corporate decision-makers, driving a steady stream of high-quality client traffic to the platform.
  4. LinkedIn Marketing Strategy. We actively promote our coaches on LinkedIn to elevate your professional visibility. This includes announcing your membership on our official page, publishing your personalized Coach Spotlight article, and engaging with your own LinkedIn content to expand your reach and credibility within our network of HR leaders, executives, and professionals.
  5. Visibility Boost Upgrades. To further increase your exposure, you can activate optional upgrades anytime during your membership:
    1. Search Results Boost: Places your profile at the top of relevant search results for 3 days.
    2. Featured Coach Upgrade: Highlights your profile with a “Featured” flag for 30 days, adds you to a special featured-only search filter, and includes you in the scrolling Featured Coaches module on the homepage.
    3. Homepage Showcase: Premium placement in a rotating carousel prominently displayed on our homepage for 30 days, complete with a large photo and write-up.

All these features work together to maximize your visibility, enhance your credibility, and attract new coaching opportunities to grow your practice.

Clients contact you directly by clicking on the contact information you provided in your listing. Your profile includes your preferred contact methods, such as email, phone, website, or LinkedIn, based on the information you provide.

We do not act as a middleman or use additional messaging software. We believe in removing as many barriers as possible so clients can start building the coaching relationship with you right away using your platforms.
